Guest checkout - disputes

Support section and receipt/transaction emails confirm that transactions can be viewed/added by creating an account. The issue as others have highlighted is that isnt possible when you have an already existing paypal account. The only method Paypal offers is to call. Three phone calls - it takes almost 3 minutes to get through the start and navigate the options. 1st issue was a failed checkout with AliExpress - nightmare. If you’ve ever tried contacting their support, you know it’s like talking to a wall. 2nd issue, Paypal support over the phone - half the time they dont understand the issue with a transaction completed at guest checkout and handed from person to person without a clear explanation of what was happening. No follow ups, getting told a case was linked to my Paypal account when it shouldnt have (same email). Supposedly, a payment is “still pending” despite the hold removed to the charge to my card but it’s “authorised”?? Long story, short: there is no way to add a transaction completed at guest checkout to an already existing paypal account. There’s no way to actually view it (the links in the confirmation email dont work). Now I’m resorting to disputing with my bank (card issuer). Is there any way to actually dispute a transaction at guest checkout? Because all supports are for paypal account holders which excludes guest checkout transactions.

You ''may'' not have Paypal buyer protection cover as a guest buyer but you can contact customer services and they may be able to assist you by reaching out to the seller for you OR opening a dispute if you are covered by buyer protection.
So If you need help for a guest buyer transaction then you can;

1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will help you.

OR
2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

We have the same problem. Paypal says there is no reason why the transaction is fraudulent, although it was made to someone in Kenya we never heard of. When we contacted the bank it says that it is legitimate because Paypal says it is legitimat. We are currentyl at a dead end .....
