How do i get rid of false invoice?

I received a notification that there was a new invoice. When looking at it I was like wtf. It said I purchased a pistol for over 200 dollars that's due tomorrow, I didn't, and if I didn't buy this to call some random 1800 number. This is sketchy as hell! It came from [Removed] I have no idea who the hell that is!

If its a spoof then NEVER USE ANY LINK OR ANY PHONE NUMBER.

Firstly if the email/text addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email/text to ''cancel'' any transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

Also if they ask you to call the number in the email then it would be fake paypal agents trying to scam you for money to 'fix' something.

If there was a problem with your account Paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email / download an attachment OR phone them on a number in an email, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.

I had the exact same invoice for the pistol. It wasn't in an email.  It's on the account page on PayPal. I tried to take a screen shot to send but it would not fit in the dinky box available no matter how small I resized the photo.

It’s bad actors with actual dummy accts monkeying about sending official but fake invoices to harangue random users and maybe trick a user a two into sending money. The invoice doesn’t get automatically paid so you can just ignore or cancel the invoice.
