Charges I dod not subscribe or received. I have had the same issue for a whopping $351.02. PayPay have been a merry-go-round of life wasting stress of uselessness. My charge was for data storage nonsense which I haven't subscribed. PayPal told me to contact Fastspring at [removed] and a phone number that is not connected in Australia. I am complaining to our banking ombudsman because PayPal apprar to be facilitating theft, pure and simple.

Hello @WTFPTYLTD

Thanks for posting in the PayPal Community! Welcome!

I'm sorry to hear about the unrecognized charges on your PayPal account. It sounds like you've already filed a dispute, and it was denied. Is that correct? If that's the case, I recommend reaching out to Customer Support to request an appeal. An unauthorized dispute can only be approved in the event that someone else logged into your PayPal account to make the initial subscription payment. If the original payment was unauthorized, but not the following charges, you would need to file the dispute through the merchant, FastSpring.

I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and hope this information helps you obtain a refund!

- Meghan

Dear Meghan, yes I have been through the review process and received no joy whatsoever. In response, I have lodged a complaint with the Australian Finical Services Ombudsman and will also file a case against PayPal in the Small Claims Court of Western Australia. I will make a song and dance to my best of my capacity to draw attention to PayPal refusal to intervene and protect me from unsolicited transactions on my account.

If you had a subscription set up by yourself however unintentionally and you were NOT hacked then paypal will pay the subscription as per your instructions.

They would only protect you if you were HACKED and the subscription set up without your knowledge.

A lot of times what happens is people accept a free trial for a product, and forget to cancel and it auto renews. Be careful what you are accepting.

I don't see how I have inadvertently subscribed to a Pro-Plan for data management. That would be akin to buying real estate on Mars. I simply have no requirements for such a service.

I will def contribute for the song in case you want do go with that! im far from Australia but i will really help in any way possible!

Just keep replying here if u want to.. And in relation to the payments that fastspring is pulling out from our accounts: it's not the first time i find them stealing from my pockets: in 2018 it happened that they were taking really small amounts like 3-6€ each week or something. Now i found out the same is happening since october 23..

so if u want to start the song i suggest "Money ---- Get away-----You get a good job with more payPAL and you're okay pal"

sounds nice as Pink Floyd.. Cheers

Hi !

I lost 39 € with Fastspring Bv on 3/9/2024 . When I contacted Paypal they said there was nothing unusual. Ridiculous. Please tell me: how did you solve your problem and did you get your money back? Thanks a lot!
