I really don’t understand the point of using paypal if they are not going to protect customers when they are scammed. I bought three shirts from this company, paid for expedited shipping and never received them. I filed a dispute with Paypal but now I am seeing that they scammed numerous other people but PayPal denied their claim. If they deny mine I am closing my account.

Hello @KDMS,

Welcome to our community forum and thank you for your post!

Sorry to hear about the issue with your purchase. With PayPal Buyer Protection, we help the buyers if there's any issue with their purchase. In keeping with our PayPal Buyer Protection program, we ask that you return the item to the seller so that we can issue a refund to your account. Without return delivery confirmation, we will be unable to issue a refund.

I hope this information helps!

Where do I have to return this trash. They are a goost company no address is giving to the me as a buyer. The company that scams me doesn't exist anymore i look for them everywhere. And this company is that one who charge without my permision. And I even didn't used paypal and don't have any idea why paypal is between this. Looks like they have a weird conecction with paypal because they never asked me to sign in with paypal to make the purchase. And I always had to sign in. For the reviews that i been reading I see paypal is letting them to steal from costumer that trust paypal I stop by through paypal long time ago for this same reason.

Hey @Tiaevelyn,

Welcome back to our community forum and thank you for your post!

I certainly understand how concerning this can be for you. You will be notified via email from PayPal about the details of the return shipping address and you can view the details of the dispute in the resolution center of your PayPal account.

A billing agreement authorizes a merchant to take payment from a customer's PayPal account when they make a purchase from the merchant’s website. As a buyer, you must agree to the Billing Agreement before a merchant can take a payment from your PayPal account. You can manage your billing agreement payments by following the steps listed here. You can reach out to the merchant to request a refund.

If there's any unauthorized transaction in your PayPal account, you can report it to us. Don’t worry, we offer full protection for confirmed unauthorized transactions. We may take up to 10 business days to review any unauthorized claim and we’ll send you an update via email. You can refer to our article to report the unauthorized payments here : How do I report an unauthorized transaction or account activity

You can also contact us by clicking the contact us option at the bottom of PayPal page or send us a message through our Twitter(@AskPayPal) and Facebook page for additional assistance.

I hope this information helps!

How can PayPal continue to support these companies which are clearly out to scam people? Don't they have a moral or legal obligation to vet such companies when PayPal are claiming to be the safe way to shop online?

I’m dealing with same issue now with a place called monkeykickz. They bought a $1 label with a printed tracking number and using it to keep holding me off saying its been shipped and its been 6 weeks no product. The tracking number is real but only a printed up label. These scammers are really getting clever with there scam. Paypal is just another cover up to get your trust. Paypal is useless and Im done. Might as well go straight ahead with debit card cause they will not help you get your money back. If I dont get my money Im done with them and all of my followers also will be done with them. I have to wait another 30 days for them to deny me so Im getting a bad deal all the way around.

i got one tracking number that kept saying it was in Austria. then when i wrote the tracking company which is probably bogus too, they gave me another tracking number.  said the package was in and out of all kinds of facilities. then when i got PP involved they changed some of the inputs and said it was delivered into my mailbox. by the USPS. i didn't have a USPS tracking number. they omitted the inputs that said after it was delivered, it showed up in Oklahoma. the first tracking number still says it's in France. for some reason PP accepts their story over the clear evidence that thy're frauds. the tracking company doesn't even have a name. Don't depend on PP to save your bacon...

I bought what was suppose to be Globe lights and when I received them they were string lights. PayPal wants me to pay the return shipping to China. Total scam and PayPal customer service sucks. I will be deleting my account. The worst company service I have ever encountered.

I was scammed by this same company more than a year ago but the real crime here is that they are still freely trading on social media platforms hosted by Meta, under numerous different brand names, and yet nothing is done to stop them. Would never buy anything directly from an unsolicited ad on social media now, whether paying through Paypal or a credit card, which at least does give you some level of insurance.

Chinese Web Sites or on Social Media ads easy to spot (once you know the below signs) so buyer beware.

Paypal would not be able to check every individual seller / merchant / company in over 200 countries worldwide that adds paypal to their website to accept payments.

So they give some buyer and some seller protection. However that protection can never be a 100% coverall so you need to read it so you can risk assess your transactions.

They do stop bad companies from using Paypal when enough claims start rolling in.
However as they are in China (mostly) then its easy for them to just start over with a new name, so stopping them does not really do anything.

The best thing is to not buy from them in the first place, to recognise them -

1. No return address on the returns policy. The site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) but they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost often more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number. if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. Rarely company address information.
4. Great pictures of items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.
5. Fake reviews.
6. Google and you can often see previous company names as they change them once enough claims roll in and Paypal stop them using their services and start over.
7. Send fake tracking numbers to win item non receipt of item claims.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
