Need help with an unauthorised transaction which I cannot report.

Hi guys, an unauthorised transaction has been made using my account to a takeaway via JustEat. The delivery address to the order is 4/5 hours away from where I live but does not show details of the takeaway/restaurant the order was placed with. Furthermore, the transaction is showing as pending however wont allow me to report it, I get the message "We're sorry, you can't file a case on this type of transaction.". What can I do since Paypal support is not available at this time. Im sure theyll resolve the matter but it makes my blood boil that the activity cannot be reported much easier and the fact there is no 247 support.

 

Hope someone can help with this matter.

I'm sorry to hear about the unauthorized transaction made to JustEat. Unfortunately, we do not have the option to file a dispute on a pending transaction. If the transaction completes, you will be able to file an unauthorized dispute at that time. If you have a previous subscription with the company, I recommend reaching out to them to file unauthorized through their system as well. The unauthorized activity likely happened through an account with them, and they should be able to reverse the charge quickly. In the meantime, I recommend reviewing your subscriptions by following the steps in our Help Center here: What is an automatic payment and how do I cancel or update one? I also suggest resetting your password and security questions as well as enabling 2-Step Verification. I am having the same issue now with a charge from JustEat .. no I do not have a subscription & the delivery is literally hundreds of miles away from me.  I can't query the "transaction" because it is pending.  And no, I can't reach out to the merchant, I don't have an account with them & don't want to set one up just to contact them.  And I can't close my PayPal account because they say I have a "pending" transaction.    I have changed my password, deleted all pre-approved payments, removed my payment method & will def be stopping that charge via my c.card.
