PayPal MC Rewards were not redeemed by me.

Hello, everyone! Sorry for the long text, but I would like to explain in detail what happened. Over the past few weeks, I have received an SMS with a code from Paypal, and then a few calls in a row. I immediately realized that it was a fraud and never picked up the phone.

Tonight I noticed two emails from Paypal that the Cashback Bonus Points of my Discoverer card (it's in my PayPal wallet) have been linked and now I can use them when paying. The second email was that my PayPal MasterCard credit card was set as the preferred payment method.

After a while, a code from Paypal came to me again and calls followed (as it happened a couple times during the last few weeks). Naturally, I did not answer, but immediately logged into Paypal. Paypal prompted me to change my password, notifying me that strange manipulations were noticed from Sarajevo (when I live in the USA)!

After changing the password, I was able to have normal access to my account, but I saw that a transaction had been made to transfer my Cashback Rewards of my PayPal Mastercard card to my PayPal Balance (and that amount is still on my PayPal balance). I just recently opened this credit card, and the question arose - are these points supposed to be automatically redeemed to the PayPal balance? I did not ask to do that...

Everything that happened is a little strange for me, since I did not do any of the above. On the other hand, I never answered the phone and never gave anyone the code. How could someone log into my account without a code? In addition, not a single transaction was made to pay or withdraw money somewhere and nothing was added to a wallet or something else.

These three things that were done seem to be pretty harmless, so my question is - could they happen by themselves?
