Hello, I received some funds and while trying to withdraw them I ran into a prompt asking me to verify my identity, all went smoothly until I noticed a reply that said I haven't used my real name, that is true, I had a nickname in place at the time being. I changed it to my real name, filled all the other details and requested a new verification. It failed again due to the same reason, I tried uploading my documents few more times and then suddenly my account received a limitation.
"If there are funds in your PayPal balance, you can transfer them to your bank account. If you want to use the same funding instruments on your new PayPal account, please remove them from the account after the funds are withdrawn."
^^ This made me think I can withdraw the money directly to my bank account, only that I can't use PayPal features anymore, I gotta leave it.
I linked my bank account, currently waiting for the 2 transactions to arrive, my question is.
Can I really transfer the funds out of my PayPal account? I'm concerned since I haven't got the 2 transactions yet and in a message that appeared before it said I can't send or receive money.

Double check with the senders on the status of those payments on their end. Are they listed as “Completed”? If the senders can give you the transaction ID numbers from the transaction details or even in the payment confirmation emails PayPal sent to you if any, you can take those to PayPal customer services and get them traced to find out what happened to them. To confirm if they were returned or what to do about them. If you didn’t and can’t receive the payments due to permanent limitation, you can only withdraw your existing available balance if any.
Ideally, you should have PayPal reverse those payments and ask senders to pay your new email address to be registered with new PayPal account. When payment is sent, PayPal will email you with instructions to create new account and claim the funds.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

The funds I received were split into 3 transactions, 2 of them are now completed since they probably came from balance or card, and 1 is "Pending", I guess it's because they used bank to send that money.
Meaning I have at least some amount in my balance that is waiting to be accepted.
I'm just waiting for my bank to get verified, I haven't received those 2 transactions used to verify the bank account. (I requested it around yesterday, is there any ETA when will that come in? Seems like forever)
Thank you

You won't be able to withdraw funds if the name on the bank account does not exactly match the name on your paypal account.

I see, well, the thing is PayPal won't allow me to change my name since they just reject the request every single time.
I feel literally scammed, lost $200 due to this and I don't know on what to do, should I try perhaps "transferring" the account to another member of the family or my girlfriend? Like if they don't want to verify me, sure, but let me get my money back, I provided them with every information I asked for. Yet they still limited my account. I really feel desperate

Unfortunately that is what happens if you open a legal, financial account with a nickname, you would never be able to verify it.
You can only change a 'nickname' if its something like a shortened version of your real name eg Rich for Richard.
Other than that you can change it for a 2 character typo OR for legal reasons ie you got married.
So to be honest if you can't provide legal documentation with a name that matches the name on your paypal account then its unlikely you will be able to access any funds.
If you wouldn't open a bank account or credit card with a fake name why would you do so for Paypal?

I understand that, however, I wouldn't be able to receive money to an unverified bank account now would I?
PayPal even has a field available while changing name on the account that says, changing from a nickname to a legal name.
I requested a name change due to it being a nickname which they do have as a reason, they literally said, "wE cOuLdN't veRiFy yOuR nAmE", of course they won't, that's why I requested it in the first place, they won't ask for any verification until they get some money, then they will just limit the account robbing me of off everything

Correct but if you read what I wrote that is only if the nickname is an abbreviation of your real name eg Rich for Richard. If its totally unconnected with your legal name then a change would not be accepted....hence you can't verify, hence no funds.
