Paypal Account Got Hacked and Customer Service won't help me

My Paypal account got hacked and I can no longer access it. Tried calling them and a prompt said that they cannot help me right now. Did social media customer service to ask for help and all I got was canned answer and they said to call Paypal. I'm at a dead end and my balance, I feel, is now gone. The hacker changed the phone number too.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do except keep calling them. That can't be a comforting answer (believe me, I know what their customer service is like), but it's all I can offer. Don't expect to like the answer you get - PayPal has a history of believing hackers over their legitimate users.

I do not believe for 1 second PayPal ever believes the scammer over the customer. PayPal just does not want to accept that it's fraud and refund you.

This happened to my mother recently, so I have seen how poor their response and action is. At one point they said they would list the items as undelivered - but then asked for proof of order - an order she never made.
It's bad practice and once I have settled all I need to with PayPal, I and my other family members will be closing our accounts for sure.
There's no point using a service like this, which in a time of ever improving biometric security, is ridiculously insecure. Then, in the event of a breach, they do the absolute minimum in support. Are they actually trying to drive customers away?
It just doesn't make sense to me.
