I am selling something and the buyer wants to pay via PayPal. The buyer has asked me to verify our transaction with PayPal track and trace. I don’t however think the email provided is an authentic PayPal one, [removed] is the email. Does anyone know if this is real or not

Hello @AidenCoetzer,

Welcome to our community help forum and thank you for your post!

I can see how receiving that email would be concerning to you. It looks like you have a received a fake email as PayPal never ask the seller to verify the transaction or track/trace the transaction. If you receive any email about activity on a PayPal account, the safest way to confirm the email’s validity is to log in to a PayPal account via the PayPal website (not using the links in the email received). Any of the activity reported in the email will be available to view. Please forward any suspicious emails to phishing@paypal.com and view this web page for more information on phishing emails.

I hope this information helps!
