Hi all. I received a notification from PayPal that someone sent me an invoice to make a payment of USD 500 for purchasing a anti virus software which I didn't make. Could I just leave it like that with out paying or how do I cancel or report this?

I also got a request for 35.50 dollars, daughter going to NYC, needs cash. I declined request. Does this mean my account is hacked?

I haven’t had any issues since I declined and blocked him. I tried to reach out to PayPal but couldn’t put in a ticket for them to look into it since nobody actually took money.

I received an invoice for $699.99 in Paypal that was bogus.  The name of the person who supposedly sent it was not legitimate and

the charges were for an Iphone I did not order. My problem is that I can not delete it from my account. Help messages tell me to

activities, select it and hit the cancel button. I can not find a cancel button. How do you get rid of a bogus invoice.

Basically my question is simple is someone wants to send you large portion of money to your own from their business account i got and email from paypal email ( does not let me add here) seems legit email so far and the company name on top Johnson Rechelle Construction Limited sent you an estimate for €5.100,00 EUR. this seems legit so far? is says you want to accept it? later it says this Estimate No: 0043 Estimate date: 21 Aug 2022 Reference Validation fee must be cleared before you receive the sum of €5,100.00 EUR to your account instantly Weekly Allowance- €5,000.00 EUR 5 x€1,000.00 Validation Fee - €147 worth of Bitcoin Is this real info? This time receiving money from business account wanted to check if its true?

Not real. It’s a scam. The buyer sent an estimate to trick you. Buyers don’t send Estimates or Invoices. If someone is sending money, they just send it and it appears in your account. PayPal automatically deducts their fee from the payment. No ‘verification fee’ required in order to receive payment, it’s just a lie to get you to pay in hopes of receiving large amount of money.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

I get an email saying there was $7000 charged to my account. So I called the number and they want me to go to Walmart and pay $500 for apple security. What should I do. The guy on the phone said I need to hurry up to the Walmart and pay the $500. But I opened my PayPal account and they're were no transactions

Hi - I'm a U.S. author and my French publisher sent me a payment. They have confirmed the transaction was sent through paypal as USD. However, on my end, it gave me odd messages about it being in "cryptocurrency." I don't deal in cryptocurrency. After several days, it stopped prompting me to "accept it," and now it shows up in my activity but doesn't give me any options at all - I can't use it to pay anyone directly from Paypal, I can't transfer it into my bank account as USD, etc. Paypal text customer support gave me a garbled response from someone who couldn't grasp English well enough to answer the question, which I expect will be my experience if I try a telephone call. Help, anyone?

Hello everyone!

So last night, I was chilling on my phone, then all of a sudden I received an alert that I got an invoice. I didn't think much of it since I thought it was from a recent donation or a refund. Okay, so I was curious to see what it was, then I saw it was from a user named Matthew [removed] for a MacPro for over $2200.00. So I called the number on the invoice thinking it was legit. The person who answered me "John [removed]" answered. Let me say, I thought it was legit. So he sent me some access codes, I told him what they were, he said the charge was taken care of then hung up on me. So then I went back onto my account and saw all these transactions of invoices that looked like I had generated them. So it was then that I caught on that I was being hacked, so I immediately changed my PIN and password and enabled touch ID on my phone. Then apparently I spoke to someone from the fraud department who said "OHHH YOU SENT OUT THOSE INVOICES???" Then hung up on me. I tried calling the number[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]which was apparently PayPal's phone number then the so-called fraud department at[Removed. Phone #s not permitted] I'm a struggling single mom who has a checking account in zeros!! Why was I targeted??? 😭
