It's the second time this month, where I received money from two people I don't know. Just a small amount of 10€ and 40€. Is it safe to send them a message asking if this was a mistake? Or should I just ignore it and wait for the sender to notice his/her mistake?
I don't wanna risk falling into scam if I reply or refund directly but if it was a mistake I sure would refund the money to them.

The safest way to refund is to open to the transaction details and click “Refund this payment”. The money will go back to the payment method used. No harm, no foul as long as these are friends and family payments that have no PayPal fees. The ones with fees, you can call PayPal and ask them to reverse it as they are unsolicited and don’t know who they’re from so you don’t get charged fees.
