SCAM REQUEST FOR MONEY

I received a request for money this morning from an unknown source. I've never gotten anything like this and realize it's a scam but how can I block and delete these types of requests?

Depends on where you received it?
Was it an email OR is it showing in your paypal account??

Thanks for your reply. I received a text from PayPal saying I'd received a request for money. The text had a link to my PayPal account. I did not use the link in the text not knowing if that was legit or not. The request was there with my other "activity" and it allowed me to cancel it. I'd still like to delete the request but I don't see a way to do that.

I am sorry to know about the trouble with fraudulent invoices. I know this can be quite concerning and recognize the importance of getting this taken care of. If you don't see the cancel option, click on the invoice first. You should then have the option Request received or Invoice Received. After that, you should be able to see select decline/cancel. Now, there should be a report spam/block and report option also. If you do not find any options, please forward them to phishing@paypal.com, and can ignore them safely. Here's the Help Center Article to know how to spot fake email.
