Square Receipt

So I received an email from Squareup.com, from someone who told me they were going to pay me through paypal, it looks like a legit receipt, but nothing is showing in my paypal, it says, Custom Amount $, then Total, then below that, check($50 voucher required for verification to complete payment via paypal) they told me its just to verify my paypal and I will never have to do that again, but due to scams I'm unsure, has anybody seen this before?

I understand you're worried about the legitimacy of a recent email, and I'm sorry for the concern this has caused. PayPal would never require you to pay a fee to verify your account before receiving payments. I recommend visiting our Help Center to learn more about common scams and how to report fake PayPal emails. Anytime you receive a payment from a customer, PayPal will email you a receipt, not Square. If you are missing a payment, a great article to refer to is: I can't find the money I received. Where is it?

Thank you for posting this question, I had a very similar email and nearly got scammed out of $30
