I got a weird email from paypal saying:
The billing agreement that allowed Epic Games, Inc. to make the payment for your booking has been cancelled.
Description: Cancelled in Payment.
Manage your Billing Agreement by logging into your PayPal account and clicking the Billing Agreement link under your Profile. In your Profile, you can choose and edit your preferred funding source and cancel your Billing Agreement.
Not sure why you received this email? Learn more: Idk if i can share the link but a link is here
From everything I could tell this seems to be a legit email. The sender is [Removed] and when looked at closer the mailed by and signed by are paypal.com. The link goes directly to paypal it seems. It matches the same sender, signed by, etc as every other paypal email I have gottten.
I used paypal to buy a game about a year ago from epic games for 79.99 or 84.79 after tax. I can't find anything to indicate why I receieved this email now. I went to check my paypal account and found two prompts saying there's money waiting is waiting for me. One doesn't list an amount and just says crypto-coin with the image not loading symbol and the other says $80 but doesn't show a sender. First off Is the email legit and second should I accept the money or not because I can't tell if the 2 are connected.

Check if you have a subscription set up.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I went there and epic game was listed under "show inactive" for that $84.79 purchase. It was a one time purchase though that did take the correct amount of money out of my account so the email confuses me. Also is it safe to accept the money awaiting in my account or is that a way to scam?

Oh wow, I thought this thread was old but I literally just got the same mail today as well, seems to be a problem with a lot of people.
Mine said "The billing agreement that allowed Epic Games Commerce GmbH", not sure if it might vary for others like "Epic Games, Inc."

I just got the same email. Actually, I got two identical emails at the same time. Epic must have just made a change on their end. I don't use Epic games, but I do buy things frequently from Bandcamp, which Epic owns. I just checked and I can still make purchases through Bandcamp, so I guess I'm good.

I got a similar email stating:
"The billing agreement that allowed Epic Games, Inc. to make the payment for your booking has been cancelled.
Description: Cancelled in Payment.
Manage your Billing Agreement by logging into your PayPal account and clicking the Billing Agreement link under your Profile. In your Profile, you can choose and edit your preferred funding source and cancel your Billing Agreement."
I followed the advise to get to Payments, then Manage Automatic Payments. Epic Games was listed as Inactive for something I purchased back in 2019. The URL listed in the email looked legit, but no way was I going to click on it.

I got the email today - it seemed to be a legit link - but I too was afraid to follow it. And their instructions on how to find it don't work - there is not BILLING AGREEMENT link under Profile. Thank you for bringing this up. Someone mentioned they have a balance now - but I don't. I guess I ignore it till a possible settlement. 🙂
