Subject: Unable to Withdraw Funds After 180 Days Due to Mismatched Name - Need Help!

Hi everyone,

A year ago, my PayPal account was permanently limited. I waited the required 180 days, and now my funds are eligible for withdrawal. However, I realized that the name on my PayPal account is a random name I mistakenly set, which doesn't match the name on my bank account. Because of this, I can't withdraw the funds to my bank. When I tried to change the name to match my bank account, I was told that I can't make any changes because the account is limited.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know what I can do in this situation? Is there any way to resolve this so I can withdraw my funds? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.

You can only change the name on a paypal account if there is a 2 character error OR for legal reasons (marriage etc).

You can't change it from a random name to a legal name.

The funds in your paypal account belong to the name of the person on that account who has a legal document to prove its their name.

I do have all the legal documents to change my name but it keeps saying that I cannot change it because my paypal account is limited as I have mentioned above

As I said if it was a 'random' name then it can't be changed, any document would have to show the name had been legally changed FROM the one on your paypal account TO your new name.
