Unauthorized account usage

Someone stole my wallet and used my card to make several withdrawals and purchases that paypal is saying is authorized even though they weren't in the amount of about 1500 dollars. When I contacted paypal they said it was authorized and basically told me I'm out of luck. I don't know what to do since they allowed this to happen and then made my main account negative 137 dollars. Please help

You are responsible for the security of your own possessions and not Paypal so not sure why they should pay your bill for you to be honest?
