Unauthorized automatic payments showed up from a vendor, Atom Tickets, I have never used! 2 duplicate amounts on 10/31 and a third "payment" on 11/8. I have MFA set up-HOW can this happen?

If they are unauthorised then click on the transactions and report them as unauthorised via the resolution centre via the report a problem link bottom of that details page.

Unfortunately that doesn't work. PayPal will just tell you that it's been pre-authorized by you, when it hasn't. We had to cancel our bank cards and credit cards to get it to stop.

Me too. Today had 4 charges to Atom that aren’t me. Called PayPal and they said they can’t do anything about it and I have to go through Atom. Atom has NO phone number!!! Reached out via email and haven’t heard back yet.

We have had this same issue over the past few days with little help from Paypal. They told us we had to call atom tickets. We did and they say have no record of any charges to our account. Contacted PayPal. Escalated it. Got a snotty email back that said they determined there was "No unauthorized use" and that it is "consistent with our previous purchases". And that "Moving forward please be sure to review our active billing agreements." We don't buy from Atom tickets. We don't even buy tickets online. Even if we had, we definitely aren't making 20+ purchases of varying amounts in one day. Should be pretty apparent to a company that deals with finance. After writing them a snappy email, arguing with them on the phone that it was definitely not us and we reported it as fraud. They decided to "Transition our case to the right category to help you get your refund" where they reported it as goods not received. But they refuse to admit it is fraud, and they still think it's 100% our fault. We removed all our cards from Paypal and won't use them ever again. Unfortunately we aren't in the position to have tons of money just come out of our account. They also refused to acknowledge that this is clearly an ongoing issue.

This happened to me too. PayPal is incompetence. They denied my dispute, saying that it was in line with my previous purchases. I really go to the movies and when I do I never purchase tickets with PayPal. I’ve never even heard of Adam tickets. And I received email saying they purchase tickets still a that I would never see in a completely different state. So I don’t know what kind of research they did but clearly they just want to avoid doing what’s right by the customer especially since this is a known issue.

Same thing happened to me yesterday! Everything you guys stated above told them they said I authorized it. I never did so now I will be deleting my paypal account as they still took the money I had to call my bank in order to stop it

Check if you had a subscription set up in which case you authorised paypal to process that payment so cancel it?
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
