Hi @Rosalita21,

Welcome to the PayPal Community and thank you for your post!

Meta's products and services include, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp etc. If you are seeing a charge from Meta on your PayPal account, it is most likely referring too a service you purchased from them.

If you want to cancel any pre-approved payments you may have with this merchant, please follow the steps here.

I hope this helps!

I want to know too... I just caught the second charge on my paypal account and ended up going through and cancelling a bunch of "subscriptions" that I didn't know about or didn't remember activating. So - I'm not sure what the $5.45 charge was for, but hopefully now it's done taking money from me.

HI! I was baffled by a charge I had and I went to the top of my Facebook page to the 9 dots in a square and scrolled down to shopping, Orders and Payments.

I had made a donation through STARS that I forgot about. 🙂

Hope this helps y'all!

Same. I paid for ads not to long ago and that was done, next thing I know I’m being charged $5 for what?? It looks like they put me on a autopay/subscription and I never authorized it. So annoying😩 And using the link PP provided to deal w/ subscriptions didn’t help. The page literally stays loading one you tap the subscription option.

UPDATE: I just so happened to decide to check how much I was charged for the last ad I did and It looks the like they didn’t charge me the full price so the $5 was the last payment. Idk why it’s set up like that, but it’ll do.

I was hit this morning with a charge from Meta Platforms, Inc.
The charge amount was not very large, but this was an unauthorized charge. Filing a dispute did nothing. PayPal claims it was an authorized charge.
PayPal is saying that I need to contact Facebook to resolve this charge. My FB account was hacked/hijacked last week and I have no access to my original account. How can I do that if I don't even have access to my original FB account???
I've had previous issues with someone or some company submitting charges for hundreds of dollars and PayPal was ok then in not debiting my bank account and disputing the charges. So why won't PayPal stand behind me now and acknowledge that this was most likely a fraudulent charge? I've lost faith in PayPal and want to close my account. I know other people who have had similar issues with PayPal.
I've tried to close my account and can't because they say that I have an open dispute, but they've already made their decision.
