Why i suddenly not get SMS security code on my phone?

Short explanation:

  1. Im not able to login to my account as i do not get security code via SMS to my phone
  2. My last login was on 22nd September 2024 at 15.36 Central EU time
  3. I tried to report this problem on 26th September 2024 at 01.31 CET but without sucess
  4. I reported this problem on 26th September at 11.11 CET
  5. I reported 2nd time on 27th September at 09.48 CET that all with my phone operator and also with international agregator that there is no problems
  6. I reported 3rd time 30th September at 10.38 CET that problem still exists
  7. PayPall said that they found problem on theis side and that i will be informed by mail when problem solved. Nothing till now.

At every call tp PayPall i was informed that there are many Slovenian PayPal users who have same problem. I checked with all my friends and nooe have it. I also made another PayPal account and with new one all works normal…i got security code on SMS without any problems.

It is very irritating that i can't login to account...

Im ready to close it and i already collect all what PayPall need for this, but i said i will wait ttill the end of this week and make question here...who knows...hope on best.

I have the same problem. 
I don't get a SMS for 2FA. Phone company Telekom Slovenia. 
Paypal - it is a shame that your users can't touch support. Support is available only if user is logged in - but as you can see, user can't login.

Same country, same service provider (Telekom SLO). Not recieving SMS verification codes. Called my service provider, they had an issue with security protocols about recieving verification smses. They resolved the problem on their side, other aplications work (FB, insta, ticketmaster, ect) , all but paypal which they concluded is a fault on paypals end. 

Called paypal on their customer support for Slovenia, same fairy tale they are aware of the problem and are working on a way to fix it. That was 1 week ago. They did not want to log me in via phone call, so calling them helps nothing. Doing research on various forums , reddit threads ect, the problem was first reported allready in 2023. Still not fixed. But would like to point out that in my specific case, the last login i had was about 3-4 weeks ago, at which point i still recieved an sms. Last week while trying to make a payement, cant reach my account and has been this way eversince. 

So in short, the problem persists. Trying to remove sms verification and switch to authenticator app but everything requires the GOD DAMN sms code.

Actually im also on Telekom and when i created new account i used my T2 number...so there is someting in relation between Telekom and PayPal...

Hello to all...problem solved.

1. call support on: +386 80 083 096

2. ask to "TURN OFF" 2FA

3. You will go thru procedure where they will ask for some private infos...bank number, mail, card number,...

4. Once they will "TURN OFF" you you will get SMS and normally logged in.

5. set 2FA to avtenticator or reset again to SMS code

 

PS...if you asking me, they also removed phone number and added back again...why i think like this? Because i got on mail this info. Simple as that.
