fraudulent email reportedly from letterboxd.com ??

Hello

had an email from a company called letterboxd.com advising about my 14 day free trial and stating that I will then be charged £49.00 - have no idea what this is and my online security is flagging the "cancel your subscription" button as -Deceptive site ahead

Attackers on blackpennew.com may trick you into doing something dangerous like  

any advice ? I like to contact paypal regarding this ?

Had the same email today 13/12/22  at 3.20pm. Never heard of letterboxd. Never subscribed to anything and not clicking on the link to "cancel my subscription". I will be forwarding the email to paypal security

Had the same email just now. Never heard of Letterboxd before so i definitely didn't sign up for it! Checked pp and there's nothing on there.

Hello,there...

I've just had exactly the same email just come through; I did the usual thing of hovering over the sender address which,to all intent and purposes looks legit as normally scam email comes up with a right old jumble of characters but this could easily fool anyone as it is a seemingly upfront sender.

    However,I googled letterboxd which apparently is an entirely free movie site or something so this is a definite,sophisticated millionth,trillionth scam..these people have no scruples whatsoever and we all have to be so wary beyond belief.

I've just received this as well. I order items on NZ websites as my eldest son lives there, I'm guessing the two things may be linked?

A little clue,by the way....at the end of the email it states my subscription order date as.... Dec 13,2022%.......!!!
