fraudulent email reportedly from letterboxd.com ??

Hello

had an email from a company called letterboxd.com advising about my 14 day free trial and stating that I will then be charged £49.00 - have no idea what this is and my online security is flagging the "cancel your subscription" button as -Deceptive site ahead

Attackers on blackpennew.com may trick you into doing something dangerous like  

any advice ? I like to contact paypal regarding this ?

I got the same message today, presumably a scam but I don't know if i need to do anything. I'm concerned because Paypal seem a bit slack about scams - they let Fabletics take 50 a month off me after I bought a pair of shorts costing 20.

Ive also had this email. Looks like the scammers have been busy. Telltale sign of it being a scam is the the email sender only says Letterbox, but everywhere else the company name is LetterboxD. Also, "Order date: December 13, 2022%" I never click on links in an email, unless I"m expecting it (e.g., a password reset) ... I wish these scammers a lifetime of inconvenience and unhappiness!

I had the same email yesterday, have now forwarded it to phishing@paypal.com. Hope paypal don't see my very rude reply.

I have received a email from Letterboxd on the 13/12/2022 at 17:32pm I've never had any dealings with and wondered if anyone knows of such a company.

Same here about 10 mins ago, it's on the way to phishing@paypal.com.

These scammers, phishers need drowning in the nearest canal.

Though most internet savvy folk spot them and delete etc, those not to up to date especially the elderly get caught.

Just had the same email from letterboxd.com        Have never heard of them.      

Must be doing the rounds, have forwarded it to Phishing@paypal.com  

Then deleted it, hopefully that will be the last of that.
