refund problem

Hi. PayPal allowed Bitdefender (antivirus company) to withdraw from my account, although I did not check the auto-renewal feature. Bitdefender will refund me ONLY if I close the complaint I opened with PayPal. I asked to be refunded first, and since they do not answer my emails, and I did not have any feedback from PayPal.
Can you tell me what to do next ?

Leave the dispute open and escalate if you get the option (dependent on dispute type).
However if you had a subscription set up then you may lose as it would be seen as authorised.
Check if you had a subscription set up.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
Advice is voluntary.

Thanks, There is no way to stop automatic subscription, although there's a link to it (it does not work). I'll wait for Paypal to do something about it. I am changing my antivirus for sure !
