Does PayPal ever do customer surveys? I got an email from survey@paypal.com asking me to participate. As a software developer I appreciate feedback and I am glad to provide it where I can. However, I know a lot of scams purporting to be from PayPal come my way. Some are obvious, but this looks genuine.
Part of the email says,
"PayPal has commissioned Decipher Inc., an independent market research company, to conduct this web-based survey among its members. If you have concerns about the validity of this survey, please contact survey@paypal.com.
You're wise to be cautious, but it this case, it's a legitimate email. That site is ours, and Decipher Inc. does handle surveys among our customers.
