questions about refund process as a buyer

Hi,

 

I purchased an item and it was damaged. Now we're in a dispute process that was escalated and it says I can get a refund.

2 questions:

 

1. Paypal asked me to ship the item back to the seller within 10 calendar days with tracking number starting from the time I received the email. Does this mean that the seller has to receive the item in 10 days or less?  Or does it mean that I have to only provide the tracking number within 10 days and the seller can receive the item at a later time after 10 days?

 

 

2. Where do I find information about how much I will be refunded? Paypal said I have to look at the Buyer Protection Programs, but there are too many links and I'm lost.
