Ebay Item Broken - Case Opened

Hi everyone
I sold an item on ebay recently that was delicate - hense the reason i sent it insured. And of course it was broken in transit - A case has been opened etc etc.
Currently claiming on the insured postage for the damages item worth 69 pounds.  However Paypal have taken the 69 pounds whilst the case is open - for when a refund will be issued - where can i see the progress of this money?

I have this message on the original transaction :

"The funds are not available while this transaction is being reviewed by eBay" On the 21st of march - this is fine, i understand the ammount will be held until the case is closed. However...

Paypal says there are no cases open but on my transfer log it says this:

"Recover Negative Balance from Credit Card"  on the 26th of march for the 69 pounds.

Im confused as my paypal balance is at £00.00 and theres no where for me to see where this money is?

Theres no transaction refunding the customer , just the 69 pounds being withdrawn and now its... dissapeared?
I assume once the case is resolved this will be returned to me right? But where can i view it?

Hey there Eurosaber,

From what you have written it sounds like the case was opened on eBay and is not being worked by PayPal.

PayPal will place the funds on hold until eBay have reviewed the case and informed us of the outcome.

If you don't have a balance at the time your PayPal account will become negative. If you receive payments after this time they will go towards the negative balance on your account.

How has this case turned out? Please let us know how you got on in case there are any other people out there with the same issue.
