PayPal and Ebay Fees

Hello,

I'm quite new to selling on Ebay, I had been made aware Ebay take 10% from what you sell.

I'm noticing Paypal is also charging a fee, is this extra to the 10% that Ebay takes? If it is what % is the fee that Paypal charges and is this only taken from the value of the sale or is this also taken from P&P?

Thanks

Emma

Ebay charge a listing fee dependent on start price of item and a final value fee dependent again on the price the item sells for and i don't think that is 10%.

HOWEVER you pay ebay to advertise and sell your item and paypal to be able to receive card funded payments....which is how most buyers fund their payments. The card funded payment is the cost of the item + p,p, if the seller charged any.

Paypals fee is normally 3.4% + 20p.

But just click on "fees" on both sites to see what you will be charged.
