Hello, I want to add a donation `tip jar` style button on my youtube.
I followed a how-to, and created a name for it (my youtube name) however when it was created, everyone could see my full name and area where I live and country!
I have donated to youtubers previously, and I couldn't see anything but their youtube name.
It is correct that you would have to have a business in order for people paying you not to see your name. If you upgrade your PayPal account to a business account you will be able to add a business name. The only thing with that is you would also need a bank account in the business name to withdraw money in that case.
What might suit you is creating a PayPal.me link https://www.paypal.me/?locale.x=en_GB&country.x=GB . This will still show your name and region but it is a more straightforward payment method for your donators.
