Hi, just a quick question,
Im starting to sell watches, im buying them an selling them for slightly more,
now if I send somebody an invoice for them to buy the watch, and I state what it is and NO REFUNDS on the invoice can they still claim back a refund,
my concern is because I pay out a lot of money for the watch and if somebody got the watch an just decided they didnt like it that would mean I was out of pocket,
surely if I say no refunds on the invoice an they pay i cant be left responsable for them chaning there mind if the watch is as expected,
Thanks

You can put no refunds on the invoice if you want but it won't make any difference.
When you open a paypal account you agree to paypals rules and they say a buyer can file a dispute and you have to refund a buyer if they win a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.
Quite honestly if you are going to sell then you would want to refund a buyer if the item they paid you for got lost in the post, wouldn't you??
And if it was misdescribed (and paypal found in the buyers favour) then normally the buyer would have to return it to you before you had to refund them.
Lastly a buyer can do a chargeback directly via their credit card company if they funded their paypal payment with a credit card and in that scenario the buyers c.c. company make the decision.
If you are going to sell you have to be prepared for some problems but most can be sorted out between a good buyer and seller quite easily.

The misdescribed dispute is a bit of a grey area, if you are not selling on ebay then paypal can't see what you put on your auction or see a picture of the item.............so they are more likely to find in favour of the buyer.
HOWEVER as i said if they do find for the buyer then "normally" paypal will tell the buyer to return the item back to you trackable to prove delivery of the item before you have to refund.
Can I suggest you read up on seller protection as well before you start selling and be VERY careful of scams.
NEVER send an item to Nigeria.
NEVER send an item until the funds are showing in your paypal account balance.
Beware of spoof emails.
Good luck.
