Entropay prepaid visa card

So I have a prepaid debit card to keep track of my spending, mainly gambling. I have a positive PayPal balance with an entropay prepaid card linked. It always says that this merchant doesn't accept payments from your country every single site I try to use it, whether it's UK, China for eBay etc, it will not work. It's definitely set up correctly, I even opened another PayPal and added it just to check. It's visa, I'm in the UK so why doesn't it work? It's so frustrating! TIA

Hi Janet2015,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

I am afraid without seeing your account it's hard to tell what the issue is here. You might be best to get in touch with our customer service so we can look into it for you. One thing to look at though is whether your account is verified. You can verify your account by linking and confirming your card.

Here’s how to link and confirm your card:

  1. Go to www.paypal.com and log in to your account.
  2. Click Wallet at the top of the page.
  3. Click the card you want to confirm. (You'll only have the option to confirm cards with a 'Confirm' banner.)
  4. Click OK.

We charge your card £1.00. This charge will show on your card statement after 2-3 working days. If you have online banking, you may be able to view the charge within 24 hours.

Your card statement is a document provided by your bank which shows a summary of your card payments for a set period of time. Some banks send this monthly by post while others provide an online version. If you do not have online access to your statement, you must wait for your bank to send it by post.

There will be a 4-digit PayPal code shown on your card statement next to this charge. In the item description section, this code is printed next to the word ‘PAYPAL’ or ‘PP’.

Your code will look like this on your statement:
PP*1234 CODE or PayPal*1234CODE

When you know your code you can confirm your card:

  1. Click Profile near the top of the page.
  2. Click Wallet at the top of the page.
  3. Click the card that you're ready to confirm.
  4. Enter the 4-digit PayPal and click Confirm.

I hope this helps.

Rachael
