Long story short, guy this owed me some money and he claims he sent me the money 30 minutes ago, I still don't believe him though

He sent me two screenshots posted below, but like i said a) i haven't gotten anything yet b) he lied to me numerous times before

why does it say pending? can you find out if the images were photoshopped? or should I contact paypal and they're the only ones that can tell me if a payment like that was made?

please help me out, thank you very much

here are the two screenshots, i haven't received anything yet and it's been quite a long time already

thank you paypal community!

P.S. my paypal says hi, alexander barczi, my friend sent me payment it also says to alexander barczi, yet the images above say alex, not alexander... is that a giveaway? maybe i'm being paranoid, but i don't think so

my friend sent me money (received them in a second)

Pending can be for various reasons.  Depends on the funding source used by the sender.  Assuming the sender's account is verified and has a good history, if the sender uses funds from his PayPal Account Balance or Credit Card, you should receive the funds almost right away.   If the sender uses his bank account, it can take from 1 to 4 days for funds to be processed and credited to your Account Balance.

Note, you should have received an email notification that someone has sent you some money.  In addition there should be a record of the transaction in your Account Transaction history.  Keep in mind, that you may not receive these notifications immediately.  There can be delays.

You can always follow-up with customer support should you have additional questions.  Keep in mind, if someone said they sent you money and they actually did not, there's really nothing PayPal will or can do as it's an issue between you and the sender.

I'm had the same problem at first but you need to confirm your email most likely.
