I want to send money to an online friend to donate (also going to pay for the fees if there are any) for the server he's hosting but I don't want him to see my address (don't care about him seeing my full name). Is there a way to hide it for this specific transaction?

Sorry, forgot to say that I have a normal (non-business) PayPal account.
OK if you use the friends / family option then your address is not shown as you are not buying goods so the receiver does not need to have it.
BUT are you aware that you will have NO PAYPAL BUYER PROTECTION in sending that way, and if you are buying virtual items etc then you may well be scammed.
