Hi, I appreciate there are a few similar topics on here about this but I can't find anything specific enough to my problem.
It really frustrates me that PP promote their service as being better than paying with you debit card directly, for safety, but when the PP direct debit comes up there is no identifying words on it to know what it was for. I use the account for both personal and business related expenses and I am currently doing my books and have several small and large paypal direct debits that I can not identify. I have searched my emails and paypal. I read someone that you can search for a specific transaction and i know how to do that but you can't search for an amount, unless you jhust do Control F...I cant see how you can do this using a PP search tool.
I have looked on ebay to see if i made purchases on there, that were a DD not from Paypal funds and i can not see anything there either. I am sure i did buy things...i do regularly use paypal to buy thiings external from ebay but i cant figure out what the amounts are for!!
How do I work this out, do paypal direct debits, from websites ( not ebay) still show in your paypal account and if so where??? I can only see "payments sent" but its not showing there either.
PLEASE HELP!!
Thank you
Xenia
-ps if after i receive help I can not see them how do a dispute a Paypal direct debit which would then force them to identify the transactions for me??

Hi xeenies,
This is a questions that we get a lot as direct debits generally show a few days previous on your PayPal account than they do on your bank statement. So let’s just say you pay for an item using your bank account (using your direct debit ) with PayPal on the 1st of February. We then pay your seller instantly as we send a request to your bank for the funds. Depending on your bank, it can take 2-3 working days before this is processed and it leaves your bank account. So this would show on your statement on the 3/4th of February. So if you have payments that are not matching up, review payments on PayPal a few days before they show on your bank statement. This should help clarify it for you.
I hope it helps and please feel free to post if you have any other questions.

If this is the case then every purchase would do the same - it is only a very few. Having got a my bank to cancel one PaymeDirect Debit - I found the transaction in Paypal - next day two more turned up - but I am unable to find either of these transactions in paypal - going right back. Come on guys - there must a way since 2014 to solve this issue.
