Invalid address?!?

"Unable to process payment. Please contact the merchant as the postal address provided by the merchant is invalid, and the merchant has requested that your order must be delivered to that address"

Trying to purchase gift voucher from sensationail. Sentationail said they cant do anything, that its a paypal issue. Paypal help and support section on main site - I cant phone, and there shows no sign of an email address.

My postal address is correct.

We own a website and our customers are having the same issue with Paypal producing this error "unable to process payment please contact merchant as postal address provided by merchant is invalid". I

It has worked for years without problems up until yesterday. We have emailed business support and hope that this can be urgently looked into, especially at this busy and important time of year.

On our shopping cart we found that if you click back on your browser to go back to the merchant checkout page and redo the order that it may go through without producing this error. You could try doing the same thing?

I have attempted to do it the way you stated, but firstly "click back on your browser to go back to the merchant checkout page and redo the order", I assume you mean after the first time you try to put the order through and it fails, then to do this?

Yes correct. We found that if you click back on your browser after the first failed attempt (invalid address error message) to pay then try a second time that it works. We are using Opencart with Paypal hosted extension but we think Paypal have adjusted something at their side (API?) as nothing changed at our end. Paypal have been about as helpful as a chocolate teapot.

Well, I tried that the very first time it happened. I have subsequently retried it every time it failed every time I had gone on there since that date to see if it would go through.

And to that, its very temperamental. When I click back after it fails, the shopping car either empties so I need to re add it or it stays the same for me to then try again .
