Money gram transfer

Hi,

I awaiting a payment from a buyer (Gumtree). That is the first time I'm receiving any money on PP.

I am being asked to send some money via MoneyGram in order to receive my payment.

Is that a normal procedure?

Wecome to the PayPal Community!

This would not be normal procedure and we would not request you to send some money before receiving your payment.

If the buyer wants to pay you via PayPal you simply provide them with your email address that is registered to your account. Once you receive the payment you will see this in your PayPal balance. Never ship any items until you see the payment in your account.
