PayPal international money transfer

Hello,

I would like to ask a couple of questions about transfering money from a Greek bank acoount to a UK bank account through paypal. 

More specifically, I would like to know what currency exhange rate is used when sending Euros and recieving British Pounds.

Also, I would like to know if there are any additional fees (except for the paypal fees) depending on the banks involved.

Welcome to the community forum.

I am afraid I wouldn't have information on what the banks would charge but I can tell you how it works from the PayPal side.

If you are adding funds from your Greek bank to a PayPal account and sending to as a personal payment there would only be a cross border fee on this. You will find more information on fees here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees

In terms of exchange rates this changes twice daily so I couldn't pin it down for you but you will be shown the rate before you send the payment. Alternatively you could accept it in the UK in Euro and make the exchange when you are withdrawing the money to a UK bank.

Can I send money to an account in the Philippines if the account holder does not have a Paypal account? How long it will take to credi the money to that account?

Welcome to the Community Forum!

In order to receive a PayPal payment in any country, the payment receiver would need to either be already signed up with PayPal, or open an account with us. Once they have done this, they will see the money on their PayPal balance immediately.

With an account registered in the Philippines, the payment receiver can withdraw their money either to a Visa card or bank registered in the Philippines. I hope this information helps!
