I recently checked my bank account and discovered that there was £39.99 taken from my bank account that I don't recall anything about this. It has said - VDP-PAYPAL (numbers) then the amount of money that was taken. I didnt recall spending this money anywhere via paypal so I checked my PayPal actviity to see exactly what it was. There was nothing recently that had taken this money out on my paypal acitvity either. I am worried about the issue so if someone could help me out. I am quite confused how it is saying that somehting has been removed from my account via paypal yet has taken none of my palpal money or shown up in paypal acitvity, it has just been taken straight from my bank account. I am wondering could someone have my bank details or is it possible to have 2 paypals linked with one bank card? Should I cancel my card in case? I don't know what to do, advice please. Could it have been some yearly thing that I had bought ages ago and that only showed up now or a yearly thing that it takes that I am unaware of getting. (But if this was the case, if it was taken from my paypal/account it would have shown up in paypal acitvity)
Paypal summary page > profile (spanner looking icon next to log out) > bottom right paypal settings > pre-approved payments.
Failing that have you paid for any items via paypal as a guest buyer (ie without logging in) as that would not show in your paypal transaction history.

I'm having the same issue with a payment taken from my bank but not showing on my account. Is it possible to find out the details of the transaction if I checked out as a guest?
If you made a payment as a guest you would have received an email confirming the payment. If you check through your email confirmations you should be able to locate this. If you can't find the email, all you would need to do is give us a call. To find our phone number click 'contact' at the bottom of the PayPal page. You will be prompted to login but you can choose to continue as a guest.
