Requesting money from a mobile phone

The guy I want to request money from doesn't have an emaill address, so he's asked me to request payment from his mobile phone. Is this possible? I can't work out how to do it.

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Community Forum!

It is possible to receive payments on mobile numbers, however this option is not always available. When you go to the ‘Send/Request’ on your mobile app., you will be able to request money from an email address. In the same place you should see an option to request money from a phone number. However please note that the buyer might be still asked to provide an email address to complete the payment.

I also have tried requesting money using a mobile number and I have been experiencing the same issue.

The text message was never received. I also double checked the number, wondering if I made a mistake but the number is correct. The individual receiving the request also has an Iphone. So I'm not sure what the problem is.

A PayPal customer service rep asked me to have the recipient call them to see what the issue is.

It shouldn't be this hard, PayPal should have a message that pops up as to why a request couldn't be made.
