I have tried unsuccessfully about a dozen times to send money to someone in Poland using the balance in my Paypal account. I have checked the email address with her and have had several discussions with customer service. They have told me to change my password, security questions, log in, log out. They have also reset my account but none of these have worked. They eventually said this: 'We suggested some ways to complete your payments and hope that you have tried your payment again. If none of our suggestions worked, please contact the seller and find another way to complete your payment.
This sounds a bit strange - they have just given up and told me to use another method!!! Has anyone got any suggestions please? Thank you.

Are the funds in your paypal account balance in Polish currency??
Only if you are using your ''balance'' then you can only send in the receivers currency.
If you fund it via a card or bank then the conversion is done automatically for you but if its in your balance you have to change it to the correct currency first.

I see. I am trying to send it in Pounds but she will probably receive it in zloty. Can I change my balance to zloty in order to send it to her?

Yes, click on your paypal balance > manage currencies and the currency conversion table is in there....BUT FEES WILL APPLY.
You might want to check first to make sure you will have enough of her currency before you convert it though.

I have just tried again. I can only send from my balance in either GBP,EUR or USD. I am sending in GBP and also changed the seller's box to GBP (it was saying it was converting to zloty) so I then tried to send GBP with the seller receiving in GBP. Unfortunately that is not working either. Any other suggestions please ? I have over £300 in my account and i am only trying to send £98!

You can send in any currency if you convert the funds first.
You were probably looking at the left side of the page which has receiving currencies whereas the conversion option is on the lower right hand side.

Ok. If I understood you correctly - what i did was add Polish currency to my account and then I tried to send 475 zloty to the recipient - but it still hasn;t gone through! Did I misunderstand something ?

Do you mean you converted the pounds sterling to Polish currency in your paypal account balance?
Or do you just mean you added zloty as a receiving currency?

I added it as a new currency. I thought that was what you meant? Please could you describe the specific steps i need to take in order to make this work? How exactly do i convert the funds into Polish currency? Sorry to be a pain, - you are being enormously helpful and i would really like to get this to work!
Many thanks
Annie
