Successful Payment, but my Bank Account hasn't been charged?

So I'm new to paypal and I made a purchase of $8.00 to a seller and on paypals end it says it was successful but my bank account hasn't been charged? I was reading others who had the same problem and they said it would take a couple of days to send payment. However I have a (-) sign infront of the $8.00.... Does this mean I have to pay back paypal? Cause I have no way in doing so because I can't transfer money into my paypal balance.

When you pay a seller it is never instant > paypal CREDIT the seller for you and then paypal wait for the funds to transfer from your bank account.

The funds may take a few hours > up to a few days to transfer and leave your bank account but your seller has received paypals payment and that is so you get your item more quickly.

Where it says minus next to the transaction in your paypal account, it just means that you have paid it out and not received it.

Thank you so much for the quick reply! Now I don't have to worry! I didn't want my first time using PayPal to go horribly wrong.
