Very confused about a payment

I'm not a regular user of paypal so I'm confused by something. I've got an account with sky bet and recently won some money. When I tried to withdraw the money from my betting account it went into my paypal and not my bank account. Not a problem I thought. Well, not really knowing when to do I thought send payment would be the correct thing to do so I entered the amount of money and email address (my own) and clicked the payment to family and friends then clicked proceed. And now I don't know what's happened. It said it was confirmed but I don't really know where this money will be. Is it kind of in limbo? Sorry if this has been a confusing post. Any help would be great. Thank you.

To withdraw funds from your paypal account balance you click on the withdraw funds tab and send it to any bank account you have linked / verified to your paypal account (when you set up the direct debit mandate).

Why would you send it to your paypal account balance when it is already in there??

Yeah I know, I'm a bit of an idiot. I didn't have a clue what I was doing. The email address I sent it to is different to the one I use to sign into PayPal with. Any idea as to where this money will be?

Do you own that email address??

If so then add it to your paypal account via the profile tab and verify it (you can have up to 8 on the one paypal account so keep your other one as primary).

Then the money should come with it.

Yeah I own it. I've tried adding it but it says it already in use. I haven't relieved an email to that address regarding the payment though. Is there a way of just cancelling the payment and then withdrawing the money the proper way?

What does it say next to the transaction in your paypal account?

1. Unclaimed.

2. Unclaimed with a cancel option.

3. Completed.

I think I've got somewhere. Again me being an idiot and not realising the other address I used was linked to an old paypal. Anyway, I've found the money in that old paypal account. So now I've tried to withdraw funds this time using the correct method but get this message; We're sorry, but that bank can't be linked to any more PayPal accounts. Please link a different bank account. Any idea as to what that bank account can't be used? Sorry I've been such a pain this afternoon. Im appreciating all your help.

Sorry I've just re read that error message. I didn't realise you couldn't have more than one paypal account linked to a bank account. Seems like I'll have to withdraw it to a friend/family's bank account. Is this correct?

If you have found the money in the other account then using the personal /gift option "send" it back to your other email addy / paypal account and then you can click on the withdraw funds tab and withdraw it to your bank account which hopefully you do have linked to your paypal account (and set up the direct debit mandate),
