Is send money to email safe?

I am buying an item but not thru ebay.

If I send money via my credit card thru Pay Pal to an email address will the credit card company credit my money back if the item does not arrive/?  .....or is this like sending cash with no recourse if the item does not ship?

Yes... it is safe... you have two levels of protection... the PayPal Buyer Complaint Policy and your credit card company's buyer protection (chargeback) policy.

A credit card funded payment is quite safe. If you were sending a bank account funded payment or a PayPal account balance funded payment, it would not be as safe.

You're very welcome...

I recommend that buyers always use a credit card to fund their payments... it's safe, and... there are no interest charges if you pay off the balance every month.
