Are you asking about a payment someone is making to you, or a refund being credited to a card you used to make a purchase?
A credit card funded payment being made to you should show up right away. A refund to a credit card will also happen right away, but may take up to 30 days for your credit card issuer to show it in your credit card statement. It's usually much faster than that, though.
