Per post office new polocy they can't take it. And now that it is over 48 hrs you can't cancel the label. You will need to call Paypal and get them to file a dispute on you're behalf to get refunded on the label. They will tell you to call USPS first and if they refuse call them back and they will file a dispute for you. Well by experience USPS will tell you NO, and to call Paypal, so to save you a long phone call (waiting and transferring ), just tell Paypal that you already called USPS and they refused.
You will have to print and pay for a new label to ship your package. Packages can only be shipped on the date of the package. You can change the date of shipping. E.I. If make a label today you can change the date to ship up to 3 days later, but no later.
Hope this helps.

I'd stick it on the package and drop the package in a mailbox - while A.L. is technically correct, it's likely they won't notice it.
The worst that will happen is it will come back and you'll have to put more postage on it.

I agree with the above poster, but I'd take it to a friendly clerk and hand it over. Chances are they won't say anything about the date, but if they do, "Oh yeah, I forgot to mail this one till now" and it will probably be ok. After all, the PO's main concern is to get paid for the delivery, and you have done that.
