Charged twice by UPS??

On May 2 I paid and printed a UPS shipping label for $7.74. The package was finally delivered on May 9. Upon delivery UPS charged my account another $7.08. I went back and reviewed the May 2 transaction and rather than say "completed" it says "expired". It appears I was charged the original $7.74, then credited $7.74, and then charged $7.74 again.
Can someone explain what happened here?
Thanks

I wondered the same thing years ago when I first started using UPS.
But what UPS actually does is they place a hold on the funds when you print a label. Then when they delivery the item they release the hold and then actually charge your account. You only get charged once but it looks like you were charged twice.
They do it like this because they offer a weekly volume discount to power sellers and they don't know what the discount will be until they see how much you shipped that week. So they hold the max amount then charge you typically for less based on your volume for that week. Hope that helps.
