I am having the same problem. I'm trying to print out a UPS Label for an item with a declared value of $1100.00 However, UPS says that $100 is the max declared value allowed -- and that I have exceeded that. Their little help balloon $50,000. is the max. not $100.00 please help. Thnx.

According to UPS, the maximum amount that can be declared for packages being "dropped off" at any UPS site is $1000. Period. There is no "$50,000" maximum limit UNLESS you take that package to a designated UPS HUB SITE where they will inspect it for proper packaging before accepting it. UPS says this is a problem with the PayPal software, as this policy is clearly explained in the UPS Terms and Conditions.
I asked the UPS guy, "Can I print the label using PayPal and then take it to the HUB SITE for inspection and get UPS to adjust the declared value upon inspection?" He told me "No. Once the label is printed it can only be voided and a new one printed. But you can't change the value once declared."
So......according to UPS......if you need to declare a value in excess of $1000, you can't ship it using the PayPal software or system. You need to take the item to their local HUB SITE and submit it for shipping, and you'll have to do all the paperwork AT the hub site.
It would be useful to all here if others would call UPS and see what version of this story they tell you, and then post the results here. If this is indeed a UPS policy, then PayPal has some software bugs to correct and they need to inform shippers of this limit.
