Confirming bank account

Hi, I have give up phoning as I am waiting ages to get through.I am waiting for the 1p to be paid into my bank account so that I can activate and confirm my bank account.I have been waiting 5 days and when I email I get a stock reply that has nothing to do with the question.Can anyone help?

Shouldn't take longer than a couple of hours !!!

However once you added the bank account did you click to confirm it and have the code sent?
