Hello, I’ve recently tried to buy a product form aliexpress and it was 2.15€. I wanted to try out paying with my paypal account. I signed in and chose to pay with my debit card. After I clicked confirm it sent me back to aliexpress saying that there was an error and to try again, but paypal took 1€ from my bank account and it is not showing up in the transaction history and there were no funds added to my account. What do I do? How do I get that 1€ back?

Hello, @ArttyRL

Thank you for your post and welcome to our Community Help Forum!

I am sorry that the payment is not showing up in PayPal. May I know if you have received any email from PayPal regarding the payment. The transaction information can be found in the original email receipt received when you made your purchase, and in the transaction details of your payment, located in your account Activity. To find the transaction details: 1. Go to the PayPal website and log in to your account. 2. Click Activity at the top of the page. 3. Click on the transaction in question. I hope this information helps you.

I hope this helps!

Hi @ArttyRL and @prathik5059,

Thank you again for your posts! I wanted to provide a little more insight.

A charge of 1€ is typically an authorization to test the card. It is not actually a charge, but rather a hold on the 1€. This may happen the first time a card is added. It is a test to check the validity of the card. If it is such an authorization, it will typically fall off within 5 days of the authorization appearing on your card without the need for a refund to be processed.

I hope this helps!

Olivia
