A transaction isn't listed in my Activity tab, and it needs to be confirmed.

I made a transaction with someone else on PayPal and paid $50 to him a few days ago. However, the transaction hasn't been listed in my Activity tab. Earlier today, he asked me to confirm if the transaction went through or not, which led to me figuring out the $50 transaction I made hasn't been listed.

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you're running into some issues with a recent transaction. Have you seen the attempt debit the funding source you chose for the transaction yet? If not, there may be a chance the transaction didn't end up actually completing. I would recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams for further assistance. They can be reached by clicking Contact at the bottom of the PayPal website. They're also available through Twitter direct message or Facebook instant message.
