I recently booked a ticket for myself and my 10 year old child to travel to Europe with British Airways, I paid by Paypal, as I have done in the past with no problems - however this time BA have only taken the money for the childs ticket and not for mine ( the adult) now as children cannot travel on their own I find that weird, also BA have issued an e ticket that clearly shows both mine and the childs names and my paypal account has two transactions saying British Airways payment - one relates to me and one relates to my child - however the bank account that is attached to my paypal account has only been debited for my childs ticket, has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you resolve it. I will add my paypal account had a nil cash balance so its not as if they took the funds from there.
Have you called BA, PayPal and/or the online booking platform if one was used? And marching right up to the BA ticket counter manned by an agent at the airport to find solution is an option.
Since there are two transactions in PayPal, is one of them (for your ticket) in Pending status? Or are both in “Completed” status?
Hi thank you for your reply - all it says on my paypal statement is Payment - it does not say Pending or Completed - just Payment. BA I assume had split the payment into $810 for the child and $1149 for me, they are both the same booking, as children have to travel with an adult. BA have taken the 810 from my bank but not the 1149.
