Business account transaction fees

Just curious about fees associated with customer payments on services with a business PayPal account in Canada. Other than the 2.9%, what other fees will I incur? Thanks

I had a look and I see the 2.9% + fixed rate (which looks to be .30 CAD). However, I just had a quick conversation with PayPal and the person indicated that it was 3.49% + .49 flat fee for transactions. I was informed that the 2.9% rate would be if the person is paying via a PayPal account, but if I send my customer and invoice (which was my plan) and have them pay that way (via credit card), then the rate is 3.49%. Seems like I shouldn't have to jump down a rabbit hole to find the right info.

Welcome back @GCCG, my apologies for the confusion here. The information in the link kernowlass provided is accurate. Our services vary from country to country, as our fees do as well. The fee of 3.49% + $.49 is the fee for certain transactions in the US. As of right now, the fee for a domestic Commercial transaction in Canada is indeed 2.9% as indicated on the link provided in the previous reply.

You can refer back to that link for other specific scenarios if need be. Have a great day!
